Gilda SOLVE Quartet

Monday 15 July / 9:00 pm

Place du Baptistère

Gilda Solve, American, was born in San Francisco. She has lived in France for many years, and particularly enjoys osmosis with the European jazz musicians she meets. Gilda Solve

was one of the 5 revelations of the 2003 Juan les Pins international competition. Her vocal technique, her stage presence, her charm, the emotions she arouses and her contact with the audience leave a strong impression after every concert. After having sung a variety of repertoires, including Duke Ellington, Horace Silver, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Chick Corea, originals, etc., Gilda invites us to join her for a repeat performance,

Gilda invites us to take another trip through unforgettable jazz standards, complemented by her more contemporary repertoire, with her quartet featuring Patrice Galas (piano), Patricia Lebeugle (double bass) and Jean-Pierre Derouard (drums - trumpet).

A living legend on the Hammond organ who still plays barefoot, she embodies generosity, talent, energy and feeling. She will be accompanied by her "Lady Quartet", made up of 3 other highly talented musicians: Sophie Alour (tenor saxophone), Lisa Cat-Berro (alto saxophone) and Julie Saury (drums).
