Jazz musician from New Orleans residing in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (84), it is Jazz—considered to be the first Afro-American musical form, born from the blending of traditional blues and European music, that we will hear resounding in the streets of Venasque.

Jazz of course, but above all carefree and popular swing, made above all to dance, sing and relive those crazy years. Chassé croisé guitars, double bass and clarinet on tunes by Django, Trenet, Nat King Cole or Ellington. This music is ageless and above all it is not reserved for specialists only !!!

Michael Prats

Michel Prats,

bassist and double bassist for more than 40 years on the French and foreign stages, plays in various jazz combos and with renowned musicians such as Maxime Saury, Marcel Zanini, Gaston (ex-songwriter), Roger Guérin, Roger Blanchard. In his trio he is accompanied by Jean-Claude Vernet and Christian Mornet.

The Yellbows

a quartet of original compositions with accents of the southern United States. Stephan Notari, singer, drummer, percussionist but also guitarist, created this ensemble to give his compositions the color he is looking for, a mix of American cultures. For this project, he is ably supported by Matthieu Maigre on trombone, Alexis Borrely on soubassophone and Thibaud Roussel on banjo tenor, a famous rhythmic duet ...

These legendary figures of the late 40s, were the pioneers of a music that would in time go around the world: Rock and Roll.
